Since he was 18 years old, Carlos Mac was a custom surfboard shaper, having worked in the largest factories of Rio de Janeiro and finally for the traditional longboard plant of Surfboards Hawaii. In addition to surfing, photography was always an active hobby for Carlos. When the surfboard companies needed photos to advertise surfboards or to shoot surfing competitions, Carlos was requested. After that came photo books for friends, work for other businesses and model shoots. His interest in photography led to advanced photography courses, investments in cutting-edge equipment and eventually, a professional home studio in Cabo Frio.

Today Carlos Mac is totally dedicated to photography in diverse areas including models, maternity, sports, landscape, still and gastronomy. He often works on location and completes projects in his studio in Cabo Frio. He also shoots in Rio de Janeiro for clients including CBV, OdontoPrev, Danone, Surfboards Hawaii and others.

Carlos Mac is a Getty Images Photographer and member of Fine Art America since 2011. In 2012, Carlos Mac started the Authorial Project of Fine Art Images for Decoration and his Images are for sale through the website Carlos Mac Fine Art Fotografia. Soon after launching the website, he won the Portfolio of the Week prize from IPhoto Editora.
